A palatial new penthouse in Fort Lauderdale, FL, has hit the market for $20.55 million, making it the highest-priced condominium currently available in the coastal city.

A 10,145-square-foot residence achieved by combining two units, the Selestial Penthouse at Selene is touted as a “full-floor oceanfront estate in the sky” and has six bedrooms, eight full bathrooms, and two powder rooms.

There is an additional 1,852 square feet of exterior space, thanks to the home’s various private terraces.

“Fort Lauderdale is entering an exciting new chapter in luxury real estate, attracting sophisticated buyers who appreciate its exceptional waterfront lifestyle and growing collection of world-class residences,” Senada Adžem of Douglas Elliman, who holds the listing, tells Realtor.com®.

“We’re seeing strong interest in expansive oceanfront properties that offer the privacy and scale of a single-family estate, combined with the convenience and amenities of luxury condominium living,” she continues. “The penthouses at Selene represent exactly what today’s ultraluxury buyers are seeking: exceptional space, privacy, and an irreplaceable location.”

Adžem calls the opportunity to own a residence of this condo’s size “extraordinarily rare,” especially given its breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean, Intracoastal Waterway, and the yacht-lined coastline of Fort Lauderdale.

“As the caliber of residential offerings continues to rise, Fort Lauderdale is establishing itself as one of South Florida’s most compelling destinations for luxury real estate,” she adds.

The home occupies the entire 26th floor of the East Tower of Selene Fort Lauderdale, a contemporary two-tower residential building designed by architect Kobi Karp, with interiors by Steven G.

With a floor plan boasting distinct private wings, the residence is also well-suited for multigenerational living.

Entertaining is a breeze in the Selestial Penthouse, which features soaring ceilings and generously sized entertaining spaces.

Although the base of the building includes more than 5,300 square feet of restaurant space with an operator that will be announced within the year, the penthouse is decked out with an extraordinary chef’s kitchen.

It’s equipped with Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances and Cristallo quartzite, which runs along the counters, full-height seamless backsplash, and oversized waterfall kitchen island.

Steps away, a wet bar is finished in the same gorgeous stone. There’s also a study—defined by custom millwork—that the listing notes could be used for a striking office or a place to host a curated wine collection.

The primary suite is a relaxing retreat, with sliding glass doors opening to a terrace. The room has not one, but two walk-in closets.

The primary suite’s spalike bathroom truly feels like a vacation. The frameless rain shower is surrounded by glass windows, providing the chance to soak in the gorgeous Florida coast from the comfort of one’s own getting-ready routine. But there’s also a second private bathroom for the homeowners to enjoy, with a dressing area marked by beautiful beach views.

A resort-style pool area sits on an elevated deck above the beach, with two pools, a 75-foot lap lane, cabanas and daybeds to lounge in, a pavilion-shaded pool bar, and fire pits to enjoy at night.

Inside, clubrooms featuring a billiard room, simulated video experience for golf enthusiasts, and a screening theater serve as an entertaining way to spend an evening, while a double-height fitness center ensures residents have all they need at their fingertips.

There’s even an event terrace equipped with a large communal dining table and a catering kitchen, should a resident desire to host a private gathering outside of the walls of their dwelling.

The Selene has around-the-clock concierge service, valet parking, and an attentive on-site management staff.
