An abandoned Wendy\u2019s on Del Prado Boulevard in Cape Coral was vandalized with anti-ICE graffiti, sparking mixed reactions from local residents and raising questions about the motive behind the act. <\/p>\n

Debbie Eckdahl, a Cape Coral resident, shared her perspective on the graffiti. <\/p>\n

\u201cWell, I do not agree with vandalism, but I agree with the sentiment,\u201d Eckdahl said. <\/p>\n

She elaborated further, saying, \u201cI can see the sentiment. You can only do it so much before people start lashing back.\u201d <\/p>\n

The identity of the person or people responsible for the vandalism remains unclear, but residents like Luke Pappassodeo are questioning why ICE was targeted. <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m a Trump supporter, so I mean, if you\u2019re not in this country legally, I think they\u2019re doing their job, you know?\u201d Pappassodeo said. <\/p>\n

He also commented on the broader impact of such actions. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt just gets everybody going when they see this,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n

Eckdahl offered her thoughts on why someone might resort to vandalism. <\/p>\n

\u201cPeople feel helpless and this is a way for someone that feels helpless, that their hands are tied, they don\u2019t know what to do,\u201d she said. <\/p>\n

Cape Coral police confirmed they currently have no information on the vandalism. <\/p>\n
