From Palm Beach to Okeechobee counties, severe weather is forcing closures, delayed waste collection and even an early dismissal for St. Lucie students.<\/p>\n

The following schools and government buildings are closed.<\/p>\n

Palm Beach County<\/p>\n

Public schools will be closed Tuesday because of Election Day.<\/p>\n

Jupiter: All athletic fields are currently closed, as well as Cinquez Dog Park.<\/p>\n

Palm Beach Gardens: Several services and city facilities will not open Monday.<\/p>\n

Riviera Beach: Declared a state of emergency due to severe weather. <\/p>\n

West Palm Beach: Due to the continued heavy rainfall and the additional rain expected, Oxbridge Academy’s campus was closed.<\/p>\n

All Benjamin School locations are closed Tuesday.<\/p>\n

St. Lucie County<\/p>\n

St. Lucie County has issued a local state of emergency and activated the Emergency Operations Center.<\/p>\n

All St. Lucie County offices are closed Tuesday because of flooding.<\/p>\n

Port St. Lucie city hall will be closed on Tuesday, but city facilities will be open where voting will take place.<\/p>\n

Port St. Lucie Planning and Zoning meeting scheduled for Tuesday was canceled. The items that were to be addressed will roll over to the December meeting.<\/p>\n

Public Schools announced that students will be dismissed one hour earlier than usual Monday, and all after-school activities, including ROAR Academy Aftercare, are canceled.<\/p>\n

Public schools will be closed Tuesday because of Election Day.<\/p>\n

The tax collector’s office closed at 2 p.m.<\/p>\n

Area Regional Transit has suspended service.<\/p>\n

The county Fire District\u2019s administrative offices are closed.<\/p>\n

Waste collection schedule may be delayed. <\/p>\n

Fort Pierce: All city parks, recreational facilities and beach access points are closed.<\/p>\n

CareerSource Research Coast in Fort Pierce is closed Tuesday because of flooding. Check CareerSource’s website or social media accounts for updates.<\/p>\n

Indian River County<\/p>\n

Indian River County issued a local state of emergency because of flooding.<\/p>\n

The landfill in Vero Beach closed at 1 p.m. All five Customer Convenience Centers also remain closed.<\/p>\n

Indian River State College will remain closed through Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Public schools will be closed Tuesday.<\/p>\n

A shelter opened Monday night at Sebastian River Middle School.<\/p>\n

Martin County<\/p>\n

All outdoor afterschool activities are canceled, including sports practices and district-operated games and events. Extended Day will continue as scheduled. <\/p>\n

OFFICE CLOSURES<\/p>\n

Martin County Board of County Commissioners<\/p>\n

Martin County offices will be closed Tuesday, November 3. All voting locations at libraries will remain operational.<\/p>\n

Martin County School District<\/p>\n

All Martin County School District-operated schools will be closed on Tuesday, November 3. This includes all after-school activities.<\/p>\n

Martin County Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller<\/p>\n

The Martin County Clerk & Comptroller’s office will be closed on Tuesday, November 3. Online services will remain available.<\/p>\n

Martin County Tax Collector<\/p>\n

All Martin County Tax Collector locations will be closed on Tuesday, November 3. Online services will remain available.<\/p>\n

19th Judicial Circuit<\/p>\n

The Chief Judge has cancelled court proceedings in Martin County on Tuesday, Nov. 3, with the exception of essential court services, including protective injunctions, and Baker and Marchman Acts.<\/p>\n

Okeechobee County<\/p>\n

County schools as well as county and city government offices were closed.<\/p>\n

The Okeechobee County Courthouse and Judicial Center will be open for business on Tuesday, Nov. 3. All Okeechobee County court proceedings are cancelled, but the Clerk of Court will be operational.<\/p>\n

Brightline<\/p>\n

Due to high water conditions impacting the rail corridor in Brevard County, Brightline has temporarily suspended service between Orlando and West Palm Beach. <\/p>\n
