Orlando Science Schools (OSS) \u2013 which provides a hands-on,<\/p>\n
tuition-free STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) education across six campuses in Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties \u2013is encouraging families to apply for the 2027-2028 academic year. The enrollment window runs through Jan. 22.<\/p>\n
For the first time, Seminole Science Charter School is accepting applications through 11th grade after opening its high school expansion in August, with plans to add 12th grade in 2028.<\/p>\n
Prior to adding these higher academic levels, Niche ranked the campus as one of the top K-8 charter schools in Florida.<\/p>\n
OSS students are given the tools to excel in higher education and their chosen profession through advanced coursework and extracurricular activities, including:<\/p>\n
\u2022 PLTW (Project Lead the Way) Engineering and Biomedical Sciences classes<\/p>\n
\u2022 Cybersecurity Magnet program<\/p>\n
\u2022 Nationally recognized competition teams, such as Science Olympiad and VEX Robotics<\/p>\n
\u2022 Character Education curriculum<\/p>\n
\u2022 Athletics teams, like volleyball, basketball and soccer<\/p>\n
\u201cOver 18 years, thousands of students have walked our halls and benefited from an innovative and hands-on education that offers them the knowledge and confidence to flourish throughout<\/p>\n

A virtual drawing will be held on Feb. 12. Those who are not selected will be added to a waitlist for the chance to enroll at a later date, availability permitting.<\/p>\n
