WASHINGTON (TNND) \u2014 Over 150 illegal migrant sexual predators were arrested in Florida during an operation called \u201cOperation Dirtbag\u201d Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said Wednesday.<\/p>\n

The 150 that were arrested in Florida were among 230 illegal migrants rounded up who were wanted for murder and drug crimes, according to the New York Post<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis operation was called Operation Criminal Return,\u201d Noem said during a Fox & Friends interview. \u201cI call it Operation Dirtbag, because these individuals were sex offenders, but not just sex offenders, they targeted children.\u201d<\/p>\n

She said those arrested should never have been in the U.S.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe fact that they were sexual deviants and perverts, and now we\u2019ve gotten them off of our streets, it\u2019s remarkable,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd we need to do more of it.\u201d<\/p>\n

During the interview, Noem was asked about the DHS operation going on in Chicago, Illinois despite objections from Democratic Gov. JB Pritzker<\/a>.<\/p>\n

On Monday evening<\/a>, the Trump administration requested the Supreme Court show \u201cextraordinary deference\u201d to the president and affirm the National Guard’s deployment to Chicago.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m just so thrilled with the results that we\u2019ve had in Chicago<\/a>, and we\u2019re going to surge more resources there,\u201d Noem said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re not going to just be in Chicago,\u201d she added. \u201cWe\u2019re spreading out to other cities and continuing to do our work.
