The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.local10.com\/news\/local\/2025\/11\/11\/selflessness-and-courage-ministry-mourns-victims-of-jamaica-relief-flight-crash-in-coral-springs\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.local10.com\/news\/local\/2025\/11\/11\/selflessness-and-courage-ministry-mourns-victims-of-jamaica-relief-flight-crash-in-coral-springs\/\">father and daughter<\/a> were killed while on a plane en route to deliver hurricane relief supplies to Jamaica. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cWe are in absolute shock and disbelief (at) the situation and I\u2019m just asking for prayers for his family,\u201d Sean Malone, the founder of Crisis Response International, said in a video statement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Crisis Response International is the organization that the Wurms, of the Cayman Islands, were delivering aid for before crashing into a pond.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cWorking with Alexander was an honor,\u201d a member of the group said in the video. \u201cHe kept showing up over and over, repeatedly flying in supplies that we couldn\u2019t get anywhere else here in Jamaica.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Malone said Alexander Wurm had been flying the resources in at his own expense. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cHe just kept landing and we would unload his plane he would give us these huge hugs and pray for us,\u201d the group member said. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">On Tuesday night, neighbors held a candlelight vigil outside of Windsor Bay.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cWe decided to do a vigil for them and remember them,\u201d resident Hermann Schnell said. \u201cThey\u2019re going to be here for the rest of our lives.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Neighbors dropped off flowers and lit candles. People nearby recalled the disturbing sights and sounds of Monday morning <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cWe heard this loud sound,\u201d Schnell said. \u201cA boom.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Surveillance video showed the plane plunging into the water on Monday, just minutes after taking off from Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The Wurm family was affiliated with Ignite the Fire Ministries, a Cayman-based Christian group. They\u2019re remembered as a compassionate family dedicated to serving others and spreading the word of Jesus. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cThe last thing that he said was that he wanted to join us on Tower Hill, distributing water filters with his daughter,\u201d Malone said. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">It\u2019s still not clear what caused the plane to crash.
