Much like a little free library where residents can pick up and drop off their favorite reads, contributions to Chloe’s pantry are re-distributed directly to those in need, with no strings attached.

The initial container filled up almost immediately. Items are clearly labeled and organized, making it easy for anyone to browse and select what they require—whether it’s canned goods, toiletries, or other essentials.

“I’ve been really into politics recently and seeing the government shutdown and knowing people aren’t going to get the amount of food they need,” Tucker explained. “People already can’t get what they need with SNAP benefits.”

Her motivation runs deeper than policy debates. A recent encounter with a homeless individual left a lasting impact. “I heard someone tell me the other day when being asked if they need anything—it was a homeless person—and he said, ‘I just need people to treat me like a human being.’ That just broke my heart,” she said.

Tucker’s drive embodies the spirit of neighbors helping neighbors.
