{"id":46734,"date":"2025-11-14T18:12:09","date_gmt":"2025-11-14T18:12:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/46734\/"},"modified":"2025-11-14T18:12:09","modified_gmt":"2025-11-14T18:12:09","slug":"sweetwater-police-chief-says-officers-will-protect-black-friday-and-christmas-shoppers-at-dolphin-mall","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/46734\/","title":{"rendered":"Sweetwater police chief says officers will protect Black Friday and Christmas shoppers at Dolphin Mall"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">SWEETWATER, Fla.  \u2014 Sweetwater Police Chief Sergio Diez announced on Friday that police officers will be protecting Black Friday and Christmas shoppers at Dolphin Mall. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.local10.com\/espanol\/2025\/11\/14\/jefe-de-policia-de-sweetwater-dice-que-oficiales-protegeran-a-compradores-de-black-friday-y-navidad-en-dolphin-mall\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.local10.com\/espanol\/2025\/11\/14\/jefe-de-policia-de-sweetwater-dice-que-oficiales-protegeran-a-compradores-de-black-friday-y-navidad-en-dolphin-mall\/\">Leer en espa\u00f1ol<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">During a news conference, Diez said \u201cOperation Safe Holiday\u201d included a mobile command center that will operate as a police station at 11401 NW 12 St. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cZero tolerance for anybody that thinks they\u2019re going to come into this mall and commit a crime, my officers are ready,\u201d Diez said. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The operation includes police officers working undercover, detectives using drones, and electric motorcycles. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cIf you see something, dial 912, call us, I guarantee we\u2019ll respond within a minute,\u201d Diez said. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">With 25% of the mall\u2019s sales expected in the next two months, traffic is always an issue, so police officers will also be directing cars. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cWhen you come and park, lock your cars, don\u2019t leave items inside.
