TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A Tallahassee man was sentenced to 15 years in prison Friday for distributing over 50 grams of methamphetamine, according to the U.S. Attorney\u2019s Office of the Northern District of Florida.<\/p>\n
DeWayne Dugan, 59, was sentenced to life in prison in 1997 for federal drug trafficking charges, the attorney\u2019s office wrote in a press release Friday.<\/p>\n
However, due to a change in the law, the 59-year-old\u2019s sentence was reduced. He was then released from prison in November 2020, per the release.<\/p>\n

Less than four years later, the attorney\u2019s office said authorities caught Dugan \u201cselling a pound of methamphetamine during an undercover operation\u201d in November 2024.<\/p>\n
The case was a joint investigation by the Leon County Sheriff\u2019s Office, the Drug Enforcement Administration, among other agencies. <\/p>\n
