JACKSONVILLE, Fla. \u2013 A frightening crash occurred at the Cove at Atlantic Beach apartment complex when a car smashed into a home, coming inches from a little girl asleep in her bed.<\/p>\n
Somer Raines, the girl\u2019s mother, said, \u201cI don\u2019t know what would\u2019ve done if it was something different but I\u2019m thankful that my babies are here today.\u201d<\/p>\n

Four-year-old London Raines described the terrifying moment. <\/p>\n
\u201cIt was very bad… I didn\u2019t hear anything because I was screaming.\u201d<\/p>\n
Photos show debris scattered on London\u2019s bed where she was napping. Her mother held her tightly hours after the crash.<\/p>\n
Somer added, \u201cI was so scared. I didn\u2019t know what to think. I\u2019ve never been in this situation before.\u201d<\/p>\n
Fortunately, everyone in the home was unharmed.<\/p>\n
London was later seen playing with Jacksonville Sheriff\u2019s Office officers in a nearby park as crews assessed the damage.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m happy God protected us and only we can just thank him for everybody still being here today because it could\u2019ve been different. It really could\u2019ve,\u201d Somer said, expressing gratitude. <\/p>\n
Crews boarded up the home and cleaned the debris while the family began to consider their next steps.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re still trying to wrap our heads around what happened today and try and go from there,\u201d Somer said.<\/p>\n
London added, \u201cI miss my house because I want to stay.\u201d<\/p>\n
Red Cross Disaster Action Team volunteers were on scene to assist the family.<\/p>\n
