The grocery landscape in Florida is changing fast. In less than a year, longtime Winn-Dixie and Harveys locations have flipped to Aldi<\/a>, reshaping where many residents will shop for weekly staples \u2014 and signaling a big shift in local grocery identity.<\/p>\n

Jacksonville, the longtime headquarters city of Winn-Dixie, is now one of Aldi\u2019s<\/a> most active conversion markets following the grocery chain\u2019s 2024 acquisition of Southeastern Grocers. Aldi said it plans to convert more than 200 former Winn-Dixie and Harveys locations nationwide by 2027,<\/a> with Northeast Florida seeing some of the first transformations in the state.<\/p>\n

The company does not release a full list of locations ahead of time, but permits, signage and store closures provide a clear picture of which grocery sites are actively shifting to the Aldi format in Florida.<\/p>\n
