{"id":51648,"date":"2025-11-18T20:24:29","date_gmt":"2025-11-18T20:24:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/51648\/"},"modified":"2025-11-18T20:24:29","modified_gmt":"2025-11-18T20:24:29","slug":"duke-energy-to-deliver-304000-pound-transformer-to-largo-substation-largo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/51648\/","title":{"rendered":"Duke Energy to deliver 304,000-pound transformer to Largo substation | Largo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LARGO \u2014 Duke Energy Florida will deliver a nearly 304,000-pound transformer to its Largo substation Thursday, Nov. 20 as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the regional power grid.<\/p>\n<p>The delivery is scheduled between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. and will cause intermittent traffic delays along the route, which includes 22nd Avenue N, 34th Street N (U.S. 19), Fifth Avenue N, Florida 693, 66th Street N, Ulmerton Road, Starkey Road and East Bay Drive.<\/p>\n<p>Motorists should use caution and allow extra travel time.<\/p>\n<p>The transformer, which converts high-voltage electricity for safe delivery to homes and businesses, is part of a substation upgrade in Largo.
