The ballroom at the Kimpton Angler\u2019s Hotel came alive for Favela Miami\u2019s Fantasy Orange Gala \u2013 \u201cMental Health Aid to the Most Vulnerable Population.\u201d The sold-out evening brought together community leaders, philanthropists, city officials, and local businesses united by one purpose \u2014 to help individuals experiencing homelessness rebuild their lives through mental health support and job reintegration.<\/p>\n

Guests enjoyed a five-course dinner and signature beverages generously provided by Santorini by Georgio, who have been long-time supporters of Favela Miami\u2019s mission. The evening was filled with inspiration, compassion, and hope \u2014 with guests with optional Halloween ballroom masks to celebrate in true Miami Beach style. \ud83c\udfad\u2728<\/p>\n

Empowering Through Employment<\/p>\n

Favela Miami focuses on workforce reintegration, offering job training, resume building, mental health referrals, housing placement, and long-term support for sheltered and formerly homeless individuals.
\u201cEmployment gives people more than income \u2014 it restores purpose and dignity,\u201d said Valerie Navarrete, President of Favela Miami. \u201cOur mission is to connect sheltered individuals with employers who are willing to give them that first chance.\u201d<\/p>\n

During the Gala, Navarrete encouraged guests to continue their support by introducing her to HR directors, business owners, and community leaders who can open employment opportunities for program participants.<\/p>\n

Thanks to the generosity of guests, sponsors, and volunteers, Favela Miami continues to expand its impact \u2014 helping individuals transition from shelters to sustainable employment and independent living.<\/p>\n
