ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) \u2014 Travelers looking for a warm getaway will soon have a new option out of Rockford. Allegiant Airlines announced this morning that it will begin offering nonstop flights from Chicago Rockford International Airport to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport starting February 12, 2026.<\/p>\n
The new route marks another milestone in Allegiant\u2019s two-decade partnership with the Rockford airport. One-way fares will start as low as $39, according to the airline.<\/p>\n

The addition of Fort Lauderdale expands Allegiant\u2019s leisure-focused network from Rockford, which already includes flights to popular destinations such as Orlando, Las Vegas, and Phoenix. Airport officials say the new route will provide travelers with easier access to South Florida beaches and cruise ports.<\/p>\n
