ORLANDO, Fla. \u2013 Orlando District 5 Commissioner Shan Rose is pushing back against an election challenge, calling it \u201cfrivolous\u201d and questioning her opponent\u2019s eligibility to even file the lawsuit.<\/p>\n
Rose\u2019s legal team filed a response this week to former Commissioner Regina Hill\u2019s election challenge in circuit court. The response not only denies Hill\u2019s allegations of election misconduct but also claims Hill lacks standing to bring the suit, asserting she doesn\u2019t reside in District 5.<\/p>\n

Hill\u2019s lawsuit contests the results of this month\u2019s election, alleging Rose\u2019s campaign engaged in vote buying through health screenings and visa gift cards. The complaint also accuses Rose\u2019s team of illegal ballot harvesting.<\/p>\n
When reached for comment about Rose\u2019s response, Hill\u2019s attorney avoided addressing the specific denials but maintained his client\u2019s District 5 residency. <\/p>\n
