{"id":54269,"date":"2025-11-20T16:23:06","date_gmt":"2025-11-20T16:23:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/54269\/"},"modified":"2025-11-20T16:23:06","modified_gmt":"2025-11-20T16:23:06","slug":"megan-thee-stallion-testifies-against-blogger-in-miami-court-nbc-6-south-florida","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/54269\/","title":{"rendered":"Megan Thee Stallion testifies against blogger in Miami court \u2013 NBC 6 South Florida"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Rapper Megan Thee Stallion is expected to take the stand on Thursday morning in a Miami courtroom to testify against a blogger who she alleges has been harassing her for years since she was shot by fellow artist <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcmiami.com\/news\/national-international\/tory-lanez-stabbed-in-prison-and-hospitalized\/3612785\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Tory Lanez.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>In the lawsuit filed in 2024, Megan Thee Stallion, whose real name is Megan Pete, alleges that blogger Elizabeth Milagro Cooper has spread falsehoods on social media and YouTube about the shooting, for which Lanez, born Daystar Peterson, is serving a 10-year sentence. <\/p>\n<p>The lawsuit alleges that since the shooting, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcmiami.com\/news\/national-international\/megan-thee-stallion-seeks-restraining-order-says-imprisoned-tory-lanez-continues-to-harass-her\/3497117\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Cooper has worked on behalf of Peterson<\/a> to &#8220;denigrate, belittle, insult, and spread false statements&#8221; about Pete for &#8220;no other reason than to bully, harass and punish&#8221; her for Peterson\u2019s conviction and to &#8220;tarnish her reputation, causing emotional distress.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Pete also accuses Cooper of sharing a deepfake pornographic video of her to her 27,000 followers on X.<\/p>\n<p>Pete is suing for unspecified damages &#8220;to end Defendant Cooper\u2019s vendetta against her.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>This is a developing story.
