TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – No one was injured and two dogs were rescued after a kitchen fire in a Tallahassee home Thursday afternoon, according to the Tallahassee Fire Department. <\/p>\n
Crews responded to a home on Watersview Drive after a neighbor called and reported smoke billowing from the residence, the fire department says. <\/p>\n
\u201cCrews made an immediate entry, locating a fire in the kitchen area that had begun to extend into the attic,\u201d the TFD press release said. <\/p>\n
Firefighters said they searched the structure and found no one was home, except for two dogs who were taken outside and given oxygen.<\/p>\n
TFD extinguished the fire and said damage mainly impacted the kitchen and attic areas. <\/p>\n
The cause of the fire remains unclear. <\/p>\n
In addition to the fire department, the Tallahassee Police Department, Leon County EMS, City of Tallahassee Animal Control and City of Tallahassee Utilities helped at the scene. <\/p>\n
