Critical infrastructure protection (CIP) cybersecurity solutions provider OPSWAT <\/a>has opened a \u2018state-of-the-art\u2019 production facility in Tampa, Florida. By manufacturing its hardware domestically, OPSWAT enhances supply chain integrity, ensures compliance with stringent U.S. and international security standards, and doubles down on its focus on delivering highest-quality products to government and enterprise customers.<\/p>\n

The expansion embodies OPSWAT\u2019s \u2018Locally Built \u2013 Globally Trusted\u2019 vision, which is rooted in the belief that secure products start with secure manufacturing. Moving hardware production onshore greatly reduces several strategic, security, and operational risks associated with offshore production, especially for products intended to protect critical infrastructure or handle sensitive data.<\/p>\n

These risks range from supply chain vulnerabilities such as hardware tampering and counterfeit parts to geopolitical and regulatory pressures tied to export controls and sanctions. They also include intellectual property and data protection threats involving theft or leakage, along with operational and continuity risks stemming from supply chain disruptions and quality issues.<\/p>\n

Manufacturing the hardware in-house provides OPSWAT with greater control and quality assurance throughout every stage of production.
