You’re going to want to take it slow—use those low beams, allow for extra drive time, and keep those tried-and-true safety habits in mind.

Visibility is patchy and low in many spots, but conditions are expected to steadily improve after 9 or 10 a.m.

Sunshine, warmth, and fire restrictions

Once the fog lifts, you’re looking at a classic Florida forecast—plenty of sunshine and temps climbing into the 80s by the afternoon. At sunrise, we were already at 63 degrees at Julington Creek Marina with skies mostly clear and humidity at 90 percent.

If you love warm weather, you’ll be in your element. Afternoon highs will jump well above average, topping out close to 83 degrees today and sticking in that same warm range through much of the week. That’s about 10 or 11 degrees higher than our usual for late November.

There’s a catch, though: we’re still in a drought. I know the temptation is strong for a backyard fire pit with these beautiful evenings, but we have to keep safety first. Please limit your water use where you can and skip the fire pits for now. The ground is just too dry.

Weekend outlook: mostly dry and warm

So what’s ahead for your weekend plans? Here’s some good news: the chance for showers is low—only about 10 percent Saturday or Sunday, thanks to a nearby area of low pressure staying to our north. Honestly, you don’t need to prep a “Plan B”; the weather looks fantastic for anything outdoors.

The warmth is holding steady in the upper 70s and low 80s as we roll into early next week. Our 7-day forecast is showing just a slight chance for showers next Thursday, and even that is far from certain. If you want to plan anything outside this weekend or into next week, you’re likely looking at great weather.

Got a great photo of the fog or that blazing Florida sun?
