Man accused of opening fire on woman walking her dog <\/p>\n
LAUDERDALE LAKES, Fla. \u2014 A woman was shot at while walking her dog in Lauderdale Lakes on Tuesday and a suspect was taken into custody.<\/p>\n
People who live in the area told Local 10 News they saw deputies on scene but didn\u2019t know why \u2014 until we told them a woman walking her dog had been shot at near their building.<\/p>\n
News that a woman walking her dog was shot at at the Royal Point condo complex left neighbor Steven Taylor surprised.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was one of those things \u2014 I hope everyone is OK because I didn\u2019t see caution tape or anything like that,\u201d Taylor said.<\/p>\n
Around 12:15 p.m. Tuesday, Broward Sheriff\u2019s Office deputies said Robin Moore shot at the woman after a verbal dispute, then ran away.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat is crazy to know that was a verbal dispute,\u201d Taylor said. \u201cI don\u2019t know what she could have said to say something and all of a sudden for someone to be shooting at you. What could you have said?\u201d<\/p>\n
Deputies later found Moore, 37, in the 2700 block of Sunrise Boulevard.<\/p>\n
Taylor said it\u2019s a quiet complex.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe only thing that happens, you might have a few bums, but they don\u2019t even steal anything to say this is bad,\u201d he said. \u201cYou know, you have a few bums here \u2014 this is the biggest thing I can say that ever happened.\u201d<\/p>\n
Moore hasn\u2019t seen a judge yet for this incident. Deputies have charged him with attempted murder and possessing a firearm as a convicted felon. He\u2019s also accused of violating probation.<\/p>\n
