{"id":594,"date":"2025-10-13T21:58:11","date_gmt":"2025-10-13T21:58:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/594\/"},"modified":"2025-10-13T21:58:11","modified_gmt":"2025-10-13T21:58:11","slug":"new-dashcam-video-shows-wild-fhp-pursuit-of-hialeah-teen-who-went-wrong-way-on-i-95-nbc-6-south-florida","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/594\/","title":{"rendered":"New dashcam video shows wild FHP pursuit of Hialeah teen who went wrong way on I-95 \u2013 NBC 6 South Florida"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Wild new dashcam video shows the pursuit of a Hialeah teen who authorities said <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcmiami.com\/news\/local\/hialeah-teen-went-wrong-way-on-i-95-while-trying-to-flee-from-troopers-fhp\/3700525\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.nbcmiami.com\/news\/local\/hialeah-teen-went-wrong-way-on-i-95-while-trying-to-flee-from-troopers-fhp\/3700525\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">drove the wrong way on Interstate 95<\/a> while trying to flee from troopers.<\/p>\n<p>Abel Campos, 19, is facing charges of fleeing and attempted eluding at a high speed and reckless driving with damage, Miami-Dade jail records showed.<\/p>\n<p>According to an arrest report, the incident unfolded around 4 p.m. Wednesday when a Florida Highway Patrol trooper spotted a white Honda, driven by Campos, heading northbound in the shoulder of I-95 near Northwest 151st Street in a reckless manner.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/100225-Abel-Campos.jpg\" loading=\"lazy\"   alt=\"Abel Campos\"\/><\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\tMiami-Dade Corrections<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\tMiami-Dade Corrections<\/p>\n<p>Abel Campos<\/p>\n<p>The trooper tried to stop the Honda but it continued to speed away in a heavily congested area, maneuvering around traffic before it entered a construction zone, the report said.<\/p>\n<p>The dashcam video obtained by NBC6 on Friday shows a trooper giving chase as the Honda flees through the construction zone then stops and is rammed by the trooper.<\/p>\n<p>The Honda turns around and goes out of the zone then starts heading going southbound on the northbound shoulder.<\/p>\n<p>Moments later, the Honda, which has turned around, continues fleeing and enters the construction zone again and briefly gets air after hitting a bump.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tRAW: Wild new dashcam video shows the pursuit of a Hialeah teen who authorities drove the wrong way on Interstate 95 while trying to flee from troopers.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>The trooper rams the Honda again and the damaged car finally stops before Campos gets out.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Get your f&#8212;ing hands up! Get on the floor!&#8221; the trooper yells as he points his weapon at Campos, before he complies and is taken into custody.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;What is wrong with you man?&#8221; the trooper asks. &#8220;Why are you running?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Campos is heard saying he doesn&#8217;t have insurance.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;That&#8217;s just a ticket,&#8221; the trooper says. &#8220;Now look what you did, you know how many peoples&#8217; lives you put at risk?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Campos was taken into custody and booked into jail.
