(WCTV) &#8211; Florida and Georgia\u2019s drought conditions are getting worse, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wctv.tv\/2025\/11\/20\/exceptional-drought-develops-parts-big-bend-south-georgia\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.wctv.tv\/2025\/11\/20\/exceptional-drought-develops-parts-big-bend-south-georgia\/\">newest drought monitor released <\/a>on Thursday, but a Havana Christmas tree farm prepared for these conditions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The dry conditions are impacting plants and crops, including Christmas trees. Owner of Turner\u2019s Tree Farms, Gina Turner, said the lack of rain created a lot more work for crews to get ready for the season.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Turner said they\u2019ll have to absorb the cost of increased irrigation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-center article-text\">More news out of the Big Bend:<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cWe did irrigate a little more this year because of the drought. In past years, we\u2019ve had a good, decent amount of rain, so we haven\u2019t had to irrigate quite as much,\u201d the owner said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The drought is not expected to impact the cost of everyone\u2019s Christmas tree.
