WAKULLA COUNTY, Fla. (WCTV) – A Crawfordville man was sentenced nearly a week ago for numerous child sex crimes, according to the U.S. Attorney\u2019s Office for the Northern District of Florida.<\/p>\n

Donovan Sauleda<\/a>, 39, was sentenced to 60 years in prison followed by a lifetime of supervised release Thursday \u201cfor possession and receipt of child pornography, and production and distribution of obscene material portraying a child,\u201d the attorney\u2019s office wrote in a press release Tuesday.<\/p>\n

The 39-year-old\u2019s sentencing comes after a federal jury found him guilty<\/a> of multiple child sex crimes in June, stemming from an investigation of Sauleda that began in 2021. <\/p>\n

The Wakulla County Sheriff\u2019s Office began looking into him in November 2021 when he failed to register online as a sex offender, the press release wrote. Sauleda has been a registered sex offender since 2013 after he was found guilty of traveling to meet a minor to commit an unlawful sexual offense and using a computer to solicit or lure a child to engage in sexual conduct, per the sheriff\u2019s office.<\/p>\n

However, further investigation led to a search warrant in March 2022, where the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and WCSO found child-like sex dolls and child pornography in Sauleda\u2019s home, according to the attorney\u2019s office.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe defendant was found to have made videos for sale and distribution with the child-like sex dolls,\u201d the press release revealed.<\/p>\n
