Steakhouse and fine-dining restaurant Tommy\u2019s Chophouse is preparing to open at the top of the new year, bringing new ways to beef in\u00a0 Ybor City. <\/p>\n

On top of the more popular cuts of steak, Tommy\u2019s menu will include shoulder-filet and hanger-filet cuts, seafood and of course, Wagyu\u2014even offering it as breaded steak. <\/p>\n

Tommy\u2019s will occupy the first floor of the Kress Contemporary building at 1622 E. 7th Ave. The restaurant is in the process of transforming an old federal vault<\/a> from scary<\/a> to upscale for private dining.<\/p>\n

This is the third Ybor City business under Kenneth Emery\u2019s restaurant group. He opened Ocean Ink Raw Bar<\/a> in September, and Barterhouse<\/a> just turned six. His flagship, Burwell, in Charleston, South Carolina, is lauded for its unique and modern approach to the steakhouse.<\/p>\n
