Rebecca Euvin of Beck\u2019s Dessert Shop isn\u2019t afraid of a little sugar high. The Palm City\u2013based baker\u2014who offers pop-ups at Blooming Freedom and weekly home deliveries from Port St. Lucie to Jupiter\u2014has trended on TikTok and other social media mainstays with her Dubai chocolate\u2013filled Labubu creations, her crystal crunch candy, and much more. In addition to mainstays of custom cakes and decorated sugar cookies for celebrations, each week Euvin offers new creations to suit the season (or her whims).<\/p>\n
\u201cThe menu drops every Monday morning on Instagram,\u201d she notes. \u201cThen it\u2019s delivered straight to your door on Wednesdays and Thursdays.\u201d Want in on the action? Sign up early; her weekly drops sell out faster than a cookie can crumble.<\/p>\n
Although Euvin grew up baking alongside her mom in their home kitchen, it wasn\u2019t her intended career path. She snagged a job as a flight attendant out of high school, and over 10 years built a career in aviation. But on the side, she found herself baking more than she could eat or share with friends; on weekends she\u2019d sell her wares at local farmer\u2019s markets. With a clientele soon clamoring for more and more sugary snacks, Euvin decided it was time to make a final departure from her flying gig\u2014opening a Beck\u2019s Dessert Shop storefront in Stuart.<\/p>\n

At first, it was a dream come true. Yet, shop life wasn\u2019t quite the right fit for Euvin. \u201cI realized that I like to focus on custom orders and being at home more,\u201d she admits of her shift to remote work. \u201cI have a little home studio now and I do all my baking from home.\u201d<\/p>\n
Now fully ensconced in her home studio (and with a robust client list), Euvin says art is her biggest inspiration for her creations and confections\u2014and she uses that superpower to help her customers design the perfect pieces. \u201cI was always artsy as a little kid,\u201d she says. \u201cIf a client has a concept or a vibe or a color scheme in mind, but doesn\u2019t know exactly how to translate that into what they want, I\u2019ll brainstorm patterns or geometrics or imagery to give them exactly what they\u2019re looking for.\u201d<\/p>\n
The holiday season is Euvin\u2019s busiest time of year. In addition to her weekly deliveries, she\u2019s churning out one of her biggest sellers: referral gift boxes for clients ranging from dentists to real estate agents. Although she creates these kinds of boxes year-round, Euvin says they\u2019re especially popular at this time of year\u2014and the boxes are even popular with people looking for that special something to gift to a neighbor or family member. \u201cIt\u2019s a great gift,\u201d she says. \u201cIt\u2019s always a big hit.\u201d<\/p>\n

You\u2019re in luck: she offers two-hour-long cake and cookie decorating workshops each month from her space at Blooming Freedom. \u201cIt\u2019s beginner-friendly,\u201d she notes. \u201cIt\u2019s themed each time, but I always pick something super simple that anyone can do\u2014and everyone can put their own spin on it. I\u2019ll show them a basic way to approach the design, and then I\u2019ll give them different ways to decorate it so they can make it their own.\u201d<\/p>\n
