TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A Tallahassee man was found guilty of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a machine gun, according to the U.S. Attorney\u2019s Office for the Northern District of Florida.<\/p>\n
Twenty-five-year-old Sincere Perkins\u2019 guilty verdict comes after the United States Marshals Task Force located him at an apartment in Tallahassee due to \u201can outstanding warrant for his arrest,\u201d the attorney\u2019s office wrote in a press release Wednesday.<\/p>\n
The press release did not specify when he was located.<\/p>\n
While searching Perkins\u2019 apartment, authorities found \u201cmultiple firearms, including a pistol that had been modified to fire as a machine gun,\u201d per the release.<\/p>\n

Authorities determined that ballistics from two of the recovered firearms matched shell casings from a shooting in Quincy, the attorney\u2019s office said.<\/p>\n
Additionally, the 25-year-old\u2019s DNA was found on both firearms that had been used in the shooting and a recorded jail call revealed that Perkins was knowingly in possession of the guns despite being a previously convicted felon, according to the release.<\/p>\n
He\u2019s expected to be sentenced February 9.<\/p>\n
