President Trump will not invite representatives from South Africa to attend next year\u2019s G-20 summit<\/a> in Miami, claiming that the country is carrying out a \u201cgenocide\u201d of white farmers.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The announcement comes after US officials largely boycotted this year\u2019s G-20 summit in Johannesburg, which concluded on Sunday, over the same allegations Trump leveled against the South African government on Truth Social Wednesday.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cAt the conclusion of the G20, South Africa refused to hand off the G20 Presidency to a Senior Representative from our U.S. Embassy, who attended the Closing Ceremony,\u201d Trump wrote.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cTherefore, at my direction, South Africa will NOT be receiving an invitation to the 2026 G20, which will be hosted in the Great City of Miami, Florida next year,\u201d the president continued. \u201cSouth Africa has demonstrated to the World they are not a country worthy of Membership anywhere, and we are going to stop all payments and subsidies to them, effective immediately.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump noted that the US did not attend this year\u2019s G-20 \u201cbecause the South African Government refuses to acknowledge or address the horrific Human Right Abuses endured by Afrikaners, and other descendants of Dutch, French, and German settlers.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cTo put it more bluntly, they are killing white people, and randomly allowing their farms to be taken from them,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has vehemently denied that a genocide is taking place against white farmers.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Trump hosted Ramaphosa at the White House <\/a>earlier this year and played for him a five-minute video detailing purported evidence of crimes against humanity.<\/p>\n

The president has offered some white minority South Africans \u2013 Afrikaners \u2013 refugee status<\/a> in the US over the alleged humanitarian crisis.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Next year\u2019s G20 summit will coincide with the nation\u2019s 250th anniversary and will mark the first time the US has hosted the forum since 2009.<\/p>\n
