ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. \u2013 A body located near Disney World on Tuesday evening was the result of an apparent suicide, according to the Orange County Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n

The sheriff\u2019s office received a report around 6:40 p.m. about a body along North World Drive, which begins just south of US-192 and runs past Disney\u2019s Magic Kingdom, the Contemporary Resort and Wilderness Lodge.<\/p>\n

Social media users on Reddit discussed the incident in a thread<\/a> shortly after the call went out, claiming that the death had impacted guests at the resort.<\/p>\n

The sheriff\u2019s office later told News 6 that the incident was an apparent suicide but offered no other details.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday afternoon, the medical examiner\u2019s office identified the decedent as Summer Equitz, who died at the Contemporary Resort as a result of \u201cmultiple blunt impact injuries.\u201d<\/p>\n

News 6 has reached out to Orange County Fire Rescue, Disney officials and the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District for more information but has not heard back.<\/p>\n
