LUCIE &#8212; A city employee was arrested on Nov. 26 on charges of making electronic written threats to kill or cause bodily harm via social media, according to police reports.<\/p>\n<p>Shemar Antwan Jerome, 24, was arrested following an investigation by Port St. Lucie Police that Jerome allegedly made threats via social media just before 11:30 a.m., on Nov. 26 on a domestic-related matter, according to police reports.<\/p>\n<p>As a matter of caution, Port St. Lucie City Hall was temporarily locked down following the report to ensure public safety. No threats were detected to the public or to city employees.<\/p>\n<p>Port St. Lucie City Hall was notified of the incident and arrest. Jerome\u2019s city credentials and access were revoked, according to police reports. The investigation is active and ongoing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"PORT ST.
