FORT PIERCE \u2013 Fort Pierce Police have identified the victim who was fatally injured during an altercation on Nov. 24 in the 1200 block of North 27th Street, Fort Pierce.<\/p>\n
The victim is Gregory Carson, 23, of Fort Pierce.<\/p>\n
Police are actively searching for the suspect, described as a young Black man with a medium complexion, about 6 feet tall with a slender build and a short haircut.<\/p>\n
At the time of the incident, he was wearing a black t-shirt, a black skull cap and grey joggers.<\/p>\n
At about 12:27 p.m., officers responded to a 911 call from the 1200 block of North 27th Street, Fort Pierce related to a gunshot wound.<\/p>\n
When officers arrived on the scene, they learned that during an altercation within a group of men, one of them, later identified as Carson, sustained a gunshot wound.<\/p>\n
Carson was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased, according to police reports.<\/p>\n
