After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Doral Academy, Carol City<\/a> was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They blew past the Westland Hialeah Wildcats<\/a> 90-34. This was payback for the Chiefs, who suffered a 55-42 defeat the last time these two teams met.<\/p>\n Carol City was led to victory by Santana McField<\/a> and Tremaine Holland<\/a>. McField shot 80% from the field on his way to 18 points and three steals, while Holland went 6-for-9 to rack up 14 points in addition to six assists and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Dartagnan Remy<\/a>, who shot 56% from the field en route to 11 points.<\/p>\n They weren’t the only ones working in the assist department: Carol City was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Westland Hialeah only posted nine.<\/p>\n Despite the loss, Westland Hialeah saw an underclassman step up: freshman Wiliam Perez-Romero<\/a> posted seven points and six boards. Samuel Polo<\/a> was another key player, putting up five points.<\/p>\n Carol City’s first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Westland Hialeah, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.<\/p>\n Carol City has already played their next contest, a 69-47 defeat against Coral Gables on the 25th. As for Westland Hialeah, they also didn’t take long to hit the court again: they’ve already played their next game, a 69-31 loss against Mater Brickell Academy on the 25th.<\/p>\n
