The new bridge will be 12 feet wide, allowing for two-way pedestrian and cyclist traffic.<\/p>\n<p>The project will include several improvements other than the bridge, such as enhanced lighting along the trail and bridge, improved signage and pavement markings, updated drainage systems to manage stormwater runoff, and landscaping to enhance the area\u2019s aesthetic appeal.<\/p>\n<p>These changes are to improve overall connectivity and accessibility for pedestrians and cyclists as well as encourage active lifestyles among residents.<\/p>\n<p>Miami-Dade County partnered with the Village of Palmetto Bay to celebrate the groundbreaking of the bridge on Nov. 17.
