When Cummings was in his late 20s, he founded the band Swamp Yankee and released \u201cThe Long Way.\u201d In 2003, he released his solo debut, \u201cFrom the Heart.\u201d That album saw Cummings playing with Double Trouble, the late Stevie Ray Vaughan’s rhythm section.<\/p>\n Ever since the release of his first album in 2003, the blues world has opened its doors for Cummings. A singer and guitarist who has played with many of the greatest players of the modern era, Cummings has received the kind of recognition that few others do.<\/p>\n With its 2022 release on Cummings\u2019 own indie label, Ivy Music Company, \u201cTen\u201d is a full realization of the wider possibilities of where his music can go.
