{"id":71746,"date":"2025-12-04T23:20:22","date_gmt":"2025-12-04T23:20:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/71746\/"},"modified":"2025-12-04T23:20:22","modified_gmt":"2025-12-04T23:20:22","slug":"red-dot-miami-spectrum-miami-and-more-nbc-6-south-florida","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/71746\/","title":{"rendered":"Red Dot Miami, Spectrum Miami and more \u2013 NBC 6 South Florida"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcmiami.com\/news\/local\/miami-art-week-2025-art-basel-context-untitled-scope-what-to-know\/3727912\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Miami Art Week<\/a> has returned, bringing an electric atmosphere to South Florida as artists, collectors and visitors from around the world pack into our city.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s an amusement park of art,\u201d said artist\u00a0Jay Durrah, taking in the scene. \u201cEvery turn I make, I get a new inspiration.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Visitors say the excitement is unmistakable.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe energy is really high, people are really excited, and it\u2019s going to be a busy week,\u201d said\u00a0Dani Bergman, who was exploring the neighborhood\u2019s installations on opening night.<\/p>\n<p>Across Miami, exhibitions and installations are scattered throughout the city, but inside the Mana Wynwood Convention Center, two major fairs\u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/redwoodartgroup.com\/red-dot-miami\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Red Dot Miami<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/redwoodartgroup.com\/spectrum-miami\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Spectrum Miami<\/a> \u2014opened under one roof, featuring work from more than 1,000 artists.<\/p>\n<p>Massive crowds filled the 150,000-square-foot venue, weaving through rows of paintings, sculptures and mixed-media pieces.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPeople get recognized here and get picked up by galleries,\u201d said\u00a0Eric Smith, owner of Redwood Art Group, which hosts the fairs. \u201cIt\u2019s a really good place for collectors to discover new talent.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Many artists and exhibitors traveled long distances to attend. For one family from Colombia, the event marks a milestone.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are here because my father is showing his art,\u201d said\u00a0Daniel Garcia, whose father is a featured artist. \u201cI think it\u2019s the first time he\u2019s doing such a big thing like being here.
