ORLANDO, Fla. \u2013 Over the next few days, Central Florida will transition from sunny and warm to rainy and cold as a messy chain of weather systems arrive this weekend. <\/p>\n
FRIDAY<\/p>\n
A warmer day is on tap though Friday afternoon as a weakening cold front turns stationary over North Florida. South of that system, southwest winds around 10\u201315 mph will bring in warmer air, pushing afternoon highs into the low to mid-80s.<\/p>\n
Friday night, moisture starts creeping back toward the I-4 corridor. While most models keep showers limited, there\u2019s just enough humidity and light wind to support pockets of patchy fog, especially near and north of I-4.<\/p>\n
WEEKEND<\/p>\n
From Saturday through Monday, a sloppy weather pattern settles in. The weak front over North Florida sags into Central Florida and gradually fades, while another low pressure system takes shape along the northern Gulf Coast on Sunday. That developing low will then help pull a stronger cold front through the region late Sunday into Monday.<\/p>\n
Scattered showers (around 30\u201350%) arrive Saturday afternoon and evening. <\/p>\n
Rain chances increase even more on Sunday afternoon and Sunday night, when rain becomes more widespread (50-80%) ahead of the reinforcing front.<\/p>\n
While the severe weather threat remains minimal, there\u2019s enough instability to allow a small (around 20%) chance for a thunderstorms.<\/p>\n
Temperatures will vary this weekend with highs on Saturday in the low to mid 80s followed by slightly cooler conditions on Sunday in the mid 70s.<\/p>\n
NEXT WEEK<\/p>\n
By Monday, cooler air takes over and highs settle across the 70s. Overnight lows fall into the 50s early next week.<\/p>\n
Through early next week, high pressure builds over the eastern U.S. on Tuesday, bringing a drier and cooler air. <\/p>\n
Tuesday and Wednesday should stay dry, with temperatures running below normal: upper 60s to mid 70s for highs.<\/p>\n
