However, they&#8217;ve also gotten off to a good start in their 2027 class as it is currently ranked <a href=\"https:\/\/247sports.com\/college\/florida-state\/season\/2027-football\/commits\/\" data-t-l=\":b|z|k|\u2691u\" class=\"gnt_ar_b_a\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">No. 9 in the nation<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">One of the top prospects of the cycle, four-star wide receiver Nicholas Lennear, has deemed FSU as one of the programs that standout to him. He recently spoke on the bond that he&#8217;s formed with the Seminoles thanks to wide receivers coach Tim Harris Jr.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">\u201cI love Coach Harris, he\u2019s a guy from Miami. He coached at Booker. T Washington. I knew him for a long time, so we have a good relationship,&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/rivals\/news\/two-schools-building-strong-relationships-with-4-star-wr-nicholas-lennear\/\" data-t-l=\":b|z|k|\u2691u\" class=\"gnt_ar_b_a\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Lennear said via Rivals<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Lennear is the nation&#8217;s No. 24 overall player and the No. 4 wide receiver per the Rivals industry rankings. The 6-foot, 165-pounder is the No. 3 prospect out of Florida as well.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">FSU extended an offer to Lennear in August of 2023, just before his freshman campaign. So, the interest has been there for a few years. The Seminoles finally got him on campus back in November for an unofficial visit when they beat the Virginia Tech Hokies.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Lennear&#8217;s best season on the high school level was as a sophomore in 2024 when he logged 38 receptions for 657 yards and 11 touchdowns. He only played in seven games as a junior. Despite this, Lennear racked up 20 catches for 381 yards and seven scores. Also, he produced seven tackles, one tackle for loss, one interception, and two pass breakups on defense.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">The aforementioned Harris just got a strong haul of receivers signed for the 2026 cycle, which includes four-star prospects Jasen Lopez, Efrem White, Devin Carter, and Brandon Bennett.
