WESH 2ers cross finish line at OUC Orlando Half Marathon

LINDSAY SABLAN. YOU CAN SEE THE WAY THAT THEY PUSH. YOU CAN SEE HOW WHEN THEY CROSS THE FINISH LINE, I MEAN, WHAT AN UNBELIEVABLE RACE FOR LINDSAY SABLAN. YOUR FIRST HALF MARATHON, YOU CRUSHED IT UNDER TWO HOURS. WE SAW YOU COMING ACROSS THE FINISH LINE THERE. WHAT WAS GOING THROUGH YOUR MIND? BEAT THE TWO HOUR MARK. YOU DID. YEAH. BUT I WAS LIKE GET IT DONE BABY. YOU CAN DO THIS. AND I HAD A LOT OF GROUP RIGHT AROUND ME THE ENTIRE RACE. SO WE WERE ALL LIKE, COME ON, BABY, WE CAN DO THIS. THIS WASN’T YOUR FIRST HALF MARATHON. HOWEVER. YOU’VE BEEN TRAINING FOR QUITE SOME TIME. FOR THIS ONE, YOU’RE ALSO RACING WITH AN INJURY. HOW WAS THAT PLAGUING YOU THROUGHOUT THIS RACE? ABOUT MILE SIX ON. I’VE GOT A CONSTANT PAIN RIGHT HERE, BUT WHAT I LOVE ABOUT ALL RACES IS THAT EVERYONE’S GOT A STORY BEHIND IT INJURY, TRYING TO JUGGLE JOBS AND THINGS, AND SO WE’RE ALL THERE AS A COMMUNITY, JUST TRYING TO PUSH THROUGH TOGETHER. WHEN YOU WERE OUT ON THE COURSE, WAS EVERYONE KIND OF CHEERING YOU ON LIKE, LET’S GO, WE CAN ALL DO THIS. WHAT WAS IT LIKE? IT WAS AMAZING. AND I GOT TO TELL YOU, EVERY RACE I’VE DONE IS LIKE THAT. THE X FACTOR WITH THIS RACE IS THE WESH TEAM ALONG THE WAY, WITH THE CAMERA RUNNING BESIDE YOU, CHEERING YOU ON. THE WESH POSTERS THAT WE HANDED OUT AT EXPO WERE EVERYWHERE, AND THAT REALLY LEVELED IT UP FOR ME. IT MADE ME GO, DON’T MISS THIS. DON’T DO IT. YOU KNOW, DON’T STOP. YOU CAN KEEP GOING. WE WERE ALL CHEERING YOU ON. WE HAD JASON EVERYBODY UP THERE CHEERING YOU AND IT WAS INCREDIBLE. SO WE’VE GOT KRISTEN LAGO ON CAMERA. SHE’S ALSO RACING DOING AN UNBELIEVABLE JOB. YOU HER MEGAN MORIARTY REPRESENTING TEAM WESH. YOU GUYS ALL CRUSHED IT OUT HERE. DID YOU GUYS TRAIN TOGETHER? WE DID A COUPLE RUNS TOGETHER. BUT BECAUSE MEGAN IS OFTEN ON BREVARD, KRISTIN’S TRAVELING FOR SPORTS. WE WERE KEEPING IN TOUCH WITH EACH OTHER, BUT HAVING TO DO IT SOLO, LIKE SO MANY OF THE OTHER RUNNERS HERE, YOU’VE GOT JOBS AND KIDS AND EVERYTHING ELSE YOU HAVE TO JUGGLE, YOU KNOW? BUT WE STARTED TOGETHER AND YOU GUYS DID AN UNBELIEVABLE JOB. WHAT IS YOUR OPINION OF THE HALF MARATHON? I’M TORN. WHETHER I WANT TO WORK IT NEXT YEAR OR RUN IT AGAIN, BECAUSE YOU TOLD ME LIVE ON TV ON THURSDAY YOU WERE GOING TO DO IT. AND IF YOU DO IT NEXT YEAR, I’LL RUN IT WITH YOU. OH, OKAY. WELL, I MIGHT NEED MORE THAN A YEAR TO TRAIN FOR. OH, OKAY.
