The sequence began with Star Princess<\/a> of Princess Cruises<\/a>, named on November 6th, followed by a formal plaque ceremony on November 7th.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Next came Disney Destiny<\/a> of Disney Cruise Line<\/a>, christened on November 10th, and then Celebrity Xcel<\/a> of Celebrity Cruises<\/a>, named on November 16th with its own plaque ceremony earlier in the week.\u00a0<\/p>\n

With each new ship\u2019s arrival, the port marked its maiden departure with traditional tug-boat water sprays, sending the vessels on their inaugural voyages \u2014 a gesture that also drew well-wisher gatherings along the port channel.\u00a0<\/p>\n
