Deputies are investigating how a man and woman wound up shot to death in Southwest Miami-Dade on Saturday afternoon.<\/p>\n
Just after 1 p.m., the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a man bleeding near 17000 SW 153rd Ct., just south of Country Walk in the area of Richmond West. Upon arrival, deputies found a man and woman suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, MDSO said.<\/p>\n
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to the scene and pronounced the two victims dead on the scene, MDSO said.<\/p>\n
One neighbor who spoke with CBS News Miami said they were shaken up and shocked by what happened.<\/p>\n
“I heard there was a homicide and that it is very rare in this area,” said Elaine Gonzalez. “This is a calm neighborhood, as you can see, we are good people.”<\/p>\n
When CBS News Miami asked whether the shooting was a domestic situation, an MDSO spokesperson said they are “not discarding the possibility.” Authorities have not identified the man and woman. <\/p>\n
MDSO said its homicide detectives have assumed the investigation.<\/p>\n
