{"id":7533,"date":"2025-10-17T00:47:23","date_gmt":"2025-10-17T00:47:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/7533\/"},"modified":"2025-10-17T00:47:23","modified_gmt":"2025-10-17T00:47:23","slug":"2b-mixed-use-project-in-miami-wins-city-approval-commercial-observer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/7533\/","title":{"rendered":"$2B Mixed-Use Project in Miami Wins City Approval \u2013 Commercial Observer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Miami\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/commercialobserver.com\/company\/urban-development-review-board\/\" title=\"Urban Development Review Board\" class=\"company-link\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Urban Development Review Board<\/a> signed off on the Midtown Park mixed-use project in the city\u2019s Midtown neighborhood.<\/p>\n<p>The approval lets the development team of <a href=\"https:\/\/commercialobserver.com\/company\/rosso-development\/\" title=\"Rosso Development\" class=\"company-link\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Rosso Development<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/commercialobserver.com\/company\/midtown-development\/\" title=\"Midtown Development\" class=\"company-link\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Midtown Development<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/commercialobserver.com\/company\/proper-hospitality\/\" title=\"Proper Hospitality\" class=\"company-link\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Proper Hospitality<\/a> begin the first phase of the $2 billion project. The 28-story tower was designed by <a href=\"https:\/\/commercialobserver.com\/company\/arquitectonica\/\" title=\"Arquitectonica\" class=\"company-link\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Arquitectonica<\/a>. Prices are likely to start at $700,000, and amenities include an eight-court padel club.<\/p>\n<p>The development team acquired the site in 2019 for $26.4 million, according to property records. Walmart had planned to build a store at the property, but the new plan goes in a different direction. Rosso said the design of the project focuses on walkability and public spaces.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMidtown is a very special place,\u201d Rosso Development CEO Carlos Rosso told Commercial Observer earlier this year. \u201cIt was planned from day one as a landlocked, master-planned community. Once you enter Midtown, the streets don\u2019t take you anywhere, so you have to slow down.
