Here are the rules"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">TALLAHASSEE, Fla. \u2013 A new Florida bill filed last week would let residents grow their own cannabis \u2014 but only if they meet certain criteria.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">The bill \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flhouse.gov\/Sections\/Bills\/billsdetail.aspx?BillId=83285\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.flhouse.gov\/Sections\/Bills\/billsdetail.aspx?BillId=83285\">SB 776<\/a> \u2014 was originally filed on Friday by state Sen. Carlos Smith (D-Orlando).<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">Under this bill, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flhouse.gov\/Statutes\/2025\/0381.986\/#:~:text=381.986%2C%20Florida%20Statutes%202016%2C%20and,marijuana%20use%20registry%20identification%20cards.&amp;text=2.,-Provides%2C%20advertises%2C%20or\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.flhouse.gov\/Statutes\/2025\/0381.986\/#:~:text=381.986%2C%20Florida%20Statutes%202016%2C%20and,marijuana%20use%20registry%20identification%20cards.&amp;text=2.,-Provides%2C%20advertises%2C%20or\">qualified patients<\/a> who are at least 21 years old can cultivate up to six flowering cannabis plants at their home at any given time.
