TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A Nims Middle School student was arrested Monday after bringing a \u201cmakeshift knife\u201d to campus, according to a Leon County Sheriff\u2019s Office press release. <\/p>\n
A school resource deputy found the knife \u201cconstructed from a piece of saw blade with a wrapped handle,\u201d in the 7th-grader\u2019s backpack, per LCSO. <\/p>\n
The 13-year-old was charged with possession of a dangerous weapon on school property and was taken to the Juvenile Assessment Center, according to law enforcement. <\/p>\n
