Lottery frenzy is spiking<\/a> \u2014 and players in Florida<\/a> are getting a shot of luck. Four winners from the Sunshine State won $1 million each in a week of Powerball lottery drawings.<\/p>\n

As they say in the lottery business, \u201cit could happen to you<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

From Nov. 29, the Saturday after the 2025 Thanksgiving holiday, to Monday, Dec. 8, there were four secondary Powerball lottery wins, meaning players matched five out of the six numbers. While they didn\u2019t claim the top prize, their $2 ticket turned into a million-dollar windfall. Below is a roundup of the winners and where they bought their tickets, according to the Florida Lottery<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In the Monday, Dec. 8, 2025, Powerball drawing<\/a> for $875 million, Powerball numbers were 8-32-52-56-64 and the Powerball was 23. Power Play was 2x. Only one ticket matched five numbers to win $1 million, and that ticket was purchased from 7-Eleven, 3991 S. Kanner Highway, Stuart, Florida, part of the Treasure Coast.<\/p>\n

In the Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025, Powerball drawing for $820 million<\/a>, Powerball numbers were 13-14-26-28-44 and the Powerball was 7. Power Play was 2x. A ticket purchased in Florida and two from Georgia and Texas matched 5 for $1 million prizes. Even more lucky was one ticket purchased in New Jersey, which matched 5 plus the Power Play for a $2 million prize. The local Powerball winner bought their winning ticket from Circle K, 2809 Atlantic Ave., Fernandina Beach, Florida.<\/p>\n

In the Powerball lottery drawing on Wednesday, Dec. 3<\/a>, 2025 \u2014 with winning numbers 1-14-20-46-51 and the Powerball 26, with Power Play 3x \u2014 there were three big winners. A Florida and a California ticket each matched 5 for $1 million prizes. Even luckier, a Kentucky-bought ticket matched 5 plus the Power Play for a $2 million prize. The local $1 million Powerball ticket was purchased<\/a> at Town Star, 1305 W. Orange Blossom Trail, Apopka, Florida. It was a quick pick ticket.<\/p>\n

In the Saturday, Nov. 29, 2025, Powerball drawing over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, a ticket matched five numbers to win $1 million. The winning numbers from that quick pick ticket were 19-22-30-32-59 and the Powerball was 1. Power Play was 2.<\/p>\n

Tickets start at $2 a piece. Below is what to know about lottery odds and how long to claim<\/a> the cash option if you bought a Powerball ticket in Florida (and won!), according to the Florida Lottery.<\/p>\n

What are the odds of winning Powerball lottery?<\/p>\n

Powerball drawings are held at 11 p.m. ET Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, including holidays. According to Powerball.com<\/a>, players have a 1 in 292.2 million chance to match all six numbers whether the jackpot is $20 million or $2 billion. Prizes range from $2 to the grand prize jackpot, which varies.<\/p>\n

What are the odds? Florida Lottery game drawing has consecutive numbers: 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9<\/a><\/p>\n

Prizes for Florida Lottery must be claimed within 180 days (six months) from the date of the drawing. To claim a single-payment cash option, a winner has within the first 60 days after the applicable draw date to claim it.<\/p>\n

The Florida Lottery says its scratch-off tickets and Fast Play game prizes “must be claimed within 60 days of the official end-of-game date. Once the applicable time period has elapsed, the related Florida Lottery ticket will expire.”<\/p>\n

Can Florida lottery winners remain anonymous?<\/p>\n

According to Florida Lottery’s website<\/a>, winners cannot remain anonymous: “Florida law mandates that the Florida Lottery provide records containing information such as the winner’s name, city of residence; game won, date won, and amount won to any third party who requests the information.”<\/p>\n

However, the site states, the “names of lottery winners claiming prizes of $250,000 or greater will be temporarily exempt from public disclosure for 90 days from the date the prize is claimed, unless otherwise waived by the winner.”<\/p>\n

Lottery experts and lawyers have said there are ways to remain anonymous if you win.<\/p>\n
