PETE BEACH \u2014 Upright Records recording artists Liz Pennock and Dr. Blues will perform Wednesdays, Dec. 10 and 17, 7 to 10 p.m., at Branzini, 6800 Gulf Blvd., St. Pete Beach.<\/p>\n<p>The shows by the noted piano and guitar duo will include their trademark blues numbers and originals, as well as holiday songs from their 2024 \u201cChristmas Eve Present\u201d CD. The album is their eighth release.<\/p>\n<p>Based in St. Petersburg, Pennock and Dr. Blues toured Ohio in June; played the Diamond Teeth Mary Festival in Huntington, West Virginia, in August, and appeared at Boogie Woogie 2025 in Marshall, Texas, in September. On June 14, they performed at Pennock\u2019s alma mater, where she was inducted into the Fort Frye High School Alumni Hall of Fame in Beverly, Ohio. PETERSBURG \u2014 With the holidays upon us, the Werk Gallery will be ringing in the yuletide with an art show and holiday night market called \u201cHave Yourself a Merry Little Krampusnacht.\u201d The exhibition got underway on Dec. 5 and will continue through Dec. 28. The night market will take place during the Second Saturday Artwalk on Dec. 13, from 5 to 9 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>The Werk Gallery is at 2210 First Ave. S., St. Petersburg.<\/p>\n<p>Krampus in Germanic lore is the counterpart to St. Nick who offers swift punishment for those who are deserving whereas St. Nick gives gifts. Get an early start on your Christmas shopping, or just come to browse the festive art show. There will be hot mulled cider and The Currywurst Food Truck will be serving German during the Second Saturday Artwalk.<\/p>\n<p>The Werk Gallery and Object Lab was born two years ago from the passion and overflowing collection of Fritz and Matthew Faulhaber. It is a locally focused art venue with an international scope and \u201cthe world\u2019s greatest gift shop.\u201d The gallery displays a variety of art experiences; from a series of community-oriented, large group shows to solo shows by internationally established contemporary artists. Gallery hours are Wednesday, noon to 5 p.m.; Thursday through Saturday, noon to 7 p.m.; and Sunday, noon to 5 p.m. Visit thewerk.gallery.<\/p>\n<p>Imagine Museum to host student art exhibition<\/p>\n<p>ST. PETERSBURG \u2014 Imagine Museum will present \u201cExceptional Voices: A Celebration of Creativity,\u201d a multimedia student art exhibition showcasing the imagination, expression, and creative voices of the next generation of young artists from Pinellas County. The exhibition will open Saturday, Dec. 20, and will continue through Sunday, Jan. 18, in the rotating special exhibition gallery on the second floor of Imagine Museum, 1901 Central Ave., St. Petersburg.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibit will feature inspiring K\u201312 student artworks in 2D and 3D forms. The exhibition is presented in partnership with the Pinellas County School Board.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c\u2018Exceptional Voices\u2019 celebrates the boundless creativity of young artists in our community,\u201d said David Flatt, executive director of Imagine Museum. \u201cThis exhibit encourages families and visitors of all ages to experience how imagination can transform into visual storytelling and reflects our mission to inspire and uplift through art and education.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition is family-friendly and sensory-friendly. It includes \u201cLight &amp; Flow: A Sensory Exploration of Glass,\u201d a calming, interactive space within the gallery. Guests, especially children, can engage physically and emotionally with the elements of glass art through hands-on materials, sensory items, and tactile experiences that highlight light, flow, and texture. Guests will enjoy full museum access with general admission, which includes access to Imagine Museum\u2019s permanent and rotating gallery exhibitions.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2018, Imagine Museum has been a cultural pillar of St. Petersburg, featuring thousands of contemporary glass artworks from local to around the globe. The museum offers exhibitions, educational programming, and special events designed to inspire, uplift, and engage the community.
