STUART, Fla. (CBS12) \u2014 A U.S. Postal Service employee was arrested after she was accused of stealing and fraudulently using credit cards that belonged to an elderly woman in Stuart. <\/p>\n
The Stuart Police Department said on Wednesday, the investigation was launched after an 86-year-old woman reported that a credit card she applied for never arrived and that it was reportedly being used across numerous businesses throughout Martin, Palm Beach, and other surrounding counties. <\/p>\n
Detectives later identified twenty-eight fraudulent transactions that totaled several hundred dollars, the police department says. <\/p>\n

Further investigation uncovered the suspect worked at the post office that was close to the victim’s home. <\/p>\n With help from the United States Postal Service Office of Inspector General, Warren was taken into custody. She faces felony counts of criminal use of personal identification information and fraudulently obtaining credit cards.<\/p>\n Her arrest comes after a West Palm Beach Postal Service worker<\/a> was arrested after he was accused of being involved in a credit card theft operation that netted over $600,000 in losses. <\/p>\n Find more ways to stay up to date with your latest local news.
