PORT ST. LUCIE \u2013 A Port St. Lucie woman was jailed on Sept. 5 on charges that she threatened to kill a cable company employee several times.<\/p>\n
According to an arrest affidavit, Charmaine Fay Borger, 65, of the 1700 block of SW Ardmore Street, Port St. Lucie, approached the employee who was installing a concrete fiber-optic box on an easement and demanded that the employee give her a permit on Sept. 5 at about 9:50 a.m.<\/p>\n
In a video, with faces of the victim blotted out, provided by Port St. Lucie police, the employee is shown explaining to police that he could not give her a physical copy but could show her the permit. However, the employee said Borger became angrier and started to threaten to kill him, according to the video.<\/p>\n
In the arrest affidavit, several of the threats that Borger allegedly made against the employee include:<\/p>\n
\u2022 \u201cDon\u2019t play with me, I\u2019ll go get my axe and chop you.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u2022 \u201cYou better leave, I do have a gun. Ima go get it if you don\u2019t leave.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u2022 \u201cBoy, you\u2019re tall, but don\u2019t play with me. I\u2019ll go get my gun if you don\u2019t leave right now.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u2022 \u201cIf you don\u2019t leave, you\u2019re a dead man.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u2022 \u201cYou\u2019re not going to leave? I\u2019m telling you Ima go get my gun and shoot you.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u2022 \u201cThis is my property; if I was to put a bomb in here, I can.\u201d<\/p>\n
Police noted in the arrest affidavit that Borger was very belligerent towards officers when they were interviewing her.<\/p>\n
In a body-cam video released by Port St. Lucie Police, Borger also can be seen telling officers, \u201cno,\u201d as they were arresting her and putting her in handcuffs.<\/p>\n
She was charged with misdemeanors of simple assault \u2013 threatening to do violence and resisting an officer without violence. She was released on Sept. 9 on a $750 bond.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"PORT ST.
