TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Old Bainbridge Road is expected to experience a \u2018temporary segmented closure\u2019 until May 2026, according to Leon County officials.<\/p>\n
To help minimize impacts during the holiday season, the roadway will reopen from Wednesday, Dec. 24, through Sunday, Jan. 4, the Leon County Government wrote in a press release Friday morning.<\/p>\n
However, the closure will go back into effect on Old Bainbridge Road between Tharpe Street and High Road from Monday, Jan. 5, at 9 a.m. through May \u201cto support the City of Tallahassee\u2019s Water Main Replacement Project,\u201d per the press release. <\/p>\n
The project \u201cbounds run from Tharpe Street to Stone Road and from Cottage Grove Road to Swatts Road,\u201d officials said.<\/p>\n

During the closure, officials said southbound traffic on Old Bainbridge Road will detour south onto High Road, then east onto Tharpe Street, back onto Old Bainbridge Road.<\/p>\n
Additionally, northbound traffic will detour west onto Tharpe Street, then north onto High Road to Old Bainbridge Road, per the release.<\/p>\n
