ORLANDO, Fla. \u2013 The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) announced it has arrested three men in Central Florida for possessing child sexual abuse material.<\/p>\n
In Orlando on Monday, Lt. Gov. Jay Collins announced the results from the investigations and said it was part of Florida\u2019s commitment to prioritize public safety.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis operation highlights the relentless work of FDLE and our law enforcement partners in removing three dangerous individuals who exploited children online,\u201d Collins said.<\/p>\n
[EXCLUSIVE:Become a News 6 Insider (it\u2019s FREE)<\/a>| PINIT!Share your photos<\/a>]<\/p>\n Martin Theodore Cassady, 60, and Jorge Nieto, 39, were each charged with 40 counts of possession of child sexual abuse material.<\/p>\n FDLE also arrested Joel Orellana, 25, and charged him with two counts of child sexual abuse material.<\/p>\n Investigators said Orellana, who is from El Salvador, was in the country illegally at the time of his arrest.<\/p>\n The investigation into Cassady began in April after FDLE received a tip that he shared over 1,500 digital images and videos depicting the sexual abuse of children.<\/p>\n According to FDLE, agents seized a child-like sex doll that was in Cassady\u2019s possession at the time of the search warrant.<\/p>\n Nieto was investigated after agents received over 50 tips about a cloud storage account user who shared and uploaded video files that contained depictions of child sexual abuse.<\/p>\n Orellana was investigated beginning in August after a tip was made that an internet user, later identified as Orellana, uploaded files depicting the sexual abuse of children into a search engine.<\/p>\n Each of the investigations remains active, and additional charges are forthcoming pending further investigation.<\/p>\n
