Groups sue DeSantis over designation of CAIR as a foreign terrorist organization<\/p>\n
The lawsuit filed in the Northern District of Florida argues that DeSantis has violated the Constitution of the U.S. and exceeded his legal authority in other ways as well<\/a>.<\/p>\n Advocates warn Floridians about rising health insurance costs<\/p>\n WMNF\u2019s Chris Young reports advocacy group Florida Voices for Health held a press conference highlighting the effects the lack of enhanced subsidies may have on the 4.7 million Floridians who get care through the ACA.<\/p>\n A judge will hear arguments over Florida\u2019s new growth plan law, SB 180<\/p>\n The law, signed in June by Governor DeSantis, effectively freezes local land-development regulations and comprehensive plans. Attorneys for state officials argued in two motions that a Leon County Circuit Judge should\u00a0dismiss\u00a0challenges filed by 25 cities and counties, the growth-management group 1000 Friends of Florida, and an Orange County resident.<\/p>\n Mosaic wants a judge to drop a legal battle over phosphogypsum in roads<\/p>\n Mosaic urged the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to dismiss as \u201cmoot\u201d a lawsuit filed by the Center for Biological Diversity\u00a0challenging\u00a0the project because the company has\u00a0completed\u00a0parts of a Polk County road project that include the radioactive byproduct of the phosphate industry.<\/p>\n The Florida Cabinet will consider $27 million for conservation easements<\/p>\n Governor Ron DeSantis and the Cabinet will consider the purchase 3 conservation easements intended to keep development off timber and ranch lands.
