Two unrelated shootings took place overnight in Tallahassee on Dec. 15, police say.<\/p>\n
Here’s what happened, according to a incident report sent via email:<\/p>\n
Early in the afternoon at 4:32 p.m., at the 700 block of Appleyard Dr., a man was sitting in a car with another individual when they were approached by two men who opened fire. One was shot in the leg; police didn’t say which one.<\/p>\n
The victims fled the scene and went to an emergency care center with injuries that were determined to be non-life threatening.<\/p>\n
Six hours later, officers responded to the Circle K at 433 Crawfordville Highway for a victim suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the hand.<\/p>\n
The actual shooting was determined to have taken place in the 3800 block of Sunburst Loop.<\/p>\n
Initial findings showed that the victim was sitting in his vehicle when the suspect, who was known to the victim, pulled up behind him in a U-Haul truck. The suspect banged on the window and tried to pull the driver out of his vehicle. He shot the victim in his left hand and fled the scene.<\/p>\n
When officers canvassed the area, they located the U-Haul with evidence connected to the shooting. The victim was taken to a local hospital.<\/p>\n
These incidents mark the 56th and 57th shooting in the capital city and county.
